Dental Phobia and Vitamin C
For me, my dental phobia means that I am always searching for things I can do to improve my oral health at home. Although I now DO have a dentist at last(!!!) (you can read more about my story at http://www.dental-phobia.com) I still am always looking for what I can do myself to help my gums and teeth.
So today's tip is: lots of vitamin C! Particularly if you are going through a episode of periodontal infection. Bleeding gums are a sign of this. During these periods, large amounts of vitamin C can help you fight the infection from the inside, increasing your chances of healing your gums.
Wishing dental health to all my fellow dental phobics,
Jake

hi i have an dental phobia, too. What kind of methods i can also use to reduce my fear?
I thought you meant vitamic C cured your nerves ... certainly wouldn't cure mine. Mind you, my dentist in Hanwell is pretty understanding and we have discussed sedation for the future .. I want to avoid it if possible but I think my phobia's are getting worse.
